Welcome to the Crease Street Garden
Our mission is to maintain and preserve the Crease Street Garden as an ornamental garden for the enjoyment and refreshment of the local community.
Remembering our friend, our neighbor, and the Garden’s caretaker, Eusebio “Bonn” Canamas Batan. Our community has been enriched by his presence, and we are all better individuals for having known him and having him as part of our lives.
- Memorial Service: Saturday, March 29th.
- Time: 11AM.
- Location: St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 5th and Girard.
- Logistics: There will not be a viewing or interment/burial ceremony. The church will be open for visitors approximately 1 hour before the service starts for those who wish to have some quiet time.
- Post Gathering: 1PM. After the ceremony there will be a gathering at the Crease Street Garden (1200 block of Crease Street) so everyone can reconnect and celebrate Bonn in one of his favorite places.

History
The story of the Crease Street Garden is a classic urban tale. It was once a haven for small drug dealers that turned into something wonderful. Thank you to all, who have and continue to support our mission.

A Space For Everyone
No matter the time of year, the garden serves the community as a retreat from the busy daily life. Spend time with your kids exploring nature, or enjoy a picnic with an old friend. All are welcome to use the garden each day until dusk.
